Obituary of Irene Frances Hubbard

Sadly, on Sunday May 30th, 2021 at the age of 89th Irene (Jo) Frances Hubbard (Nee Kossatz) passed away peacefully at the Extendicare facility in Kingston, Ontario. Irene was predeceased by her husband Harry Vance Hubbard (Bud), her son Michael, and her daughters April and Mary, and granddaughter Robyn. She is survived by sister Barbara, her sons Eric (Pam) and Guy (Joanne) and her daughter Katrina (Barry). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren and all that had the pleasure of knowing her. Irene was truly a wonderful person and her passion for life was infectious. She could draw you in and make you smile and laugh. Her biggest passion was to be around her family and friends, to talk, laugh, and share a good story. She loved them dearly and would often ask and talk about them with excitement. Irene lived a full and interesting life filled with many accomplishments and adventures. She was always willing to help and share her experience with others. She will always be remembered with love on how she looked at life, and how she lived it. A special thanks goes to the wonderful staff at Extendicare Kingston for their passion, thoughtfulness, and most of all their kind and gentle care they gave to our mother over the years. A private family graveside service will be held at Cataraqui Cemetery 927 Purdy’s Mill Road, Kingston Ontario, where she will be interred with her husband Harry Vance Hubbard (Bud). In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Extendicare Kingston, 309 Queen Mary Road, Kingston Ontario, K7M 6P4. A Celebration of Life will be held as soon as Covid restrictions allow.
