Irene was in the shadows of my life for more than 50 years but it was only in the last few that we became real friends. Irene and her dog Buddy were a familiar sight in the Kingston Centre Community Gardens and many of her friends and acquaintances from the area stopped by for a chat with her and treat for Buddy. I was one of these people and we chatted Chippawa, Pettawawa and Kingston. Her determination to remain independent, her laughter and her gratitude for small gifts will remain in my heart. To her family.....thank you for keeping me close.
Aunt Jo was an incredible lady. We remember at all the family reunions she had a crowd around her. She made us laugh and made every one of us feel special and loved. She will be missed. xoxoxo
