Obituary of Floyd Arthur Switzer

Passed away peacefully on April 9, 2022 at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre, after having lived with Alzheimer’s for over 15 years. An admired teacher, he pioneered an Ontario High School program in Philosophy for teens and World Religions as a path to global understanding.  He leaves behind his beloved wife Nadiya; his sister Darlene; his brother Bob and his nephews Rob and Dan.

A small graveside gathering will be held on Wednesday, April 13^th at 11am, at the Cataraqui Cemetery. A memorial gathering to celebrate Floyd’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to the Ukrainian crisis through the Canadian Red Cross ( Conflict in Ukraine - Canadian Red Cross )
