Obituary of Flora Janette Layzell

Flo passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her Gananoque home since 2009, FoxRun Retirement Residences.Predeceased by her loving husband, Walt, son, Bob, daughter, Karen, granddaughter, Carey, and siblings Chuck, Alfie, James and Rose.Survived and deeply missed by sons, David (Sharon) and Bruce (Julia), daughter in law, Janne (Bob) and son in law, Clayton Simmons (Lori); by her grandchildren: Bradley (Manon), Kirsten (Dan), Chris (Cindy), Andrew (Sarah), Matt (Sara), Mike (Stephanie) and Nick (Tonya); by her great grandchildren: Chase, Brynn, Liam, Matthew, Ella, Xavier, Sophie, Aimee and Josie, and by her brother, John.Flo and Walt built wonderful family memories over their years in many special communities, including Gananoque, with the family cottage at Lake Gananoque, Montreal, Thunder Bay, Toronto and Naples, Florida.A reception and celebration of Flo’s life will be held at FoxRun Retirement Residences, 104 Thousand Islands Parkway, Gananoque on Saturday, April 8th, from 2:00 to 4:00PM.
