Obituary of Barbara Young

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that Barbara’s family announces her sudden death at the age of 53 at home. Barbara married the love of her life, who she leaves behind after 33 years of marriage, her beloved husband John. She was a loving and devoted Mother to John (Ashlee) and Amanda (Brandon). She loved being a devoted Nanny to Wyatt and Corbin. She cherished every moment with family. She was a dear sister to Barry and Brenda (Doug), and step-sister to Corinna (Dean). She is also survived by her step-dad Joe. Barbara was a long term employee at Fairmount Homes. She will be missed by many relatives, special friends, co-workers and residents. Barbara was predeceased by her father Doug, mother Anne and nephew Andrew. At Barbara’s wishes, there will be no visitation. The family will host a celebration of Life for Barbara on Friday, December 18th between 4 and 8pm at the Storington Lions Hall at 2992 Princess Road and Battersea Road. Covid-19 restrictions in place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation in Barbara Young’s name. Arrangements entrusted to CATARAQUI CEMETERY AND FUNERAL SERVICES.
