Obituary of Connie Neufeld

Peacefully at Trillium Long Care Center on Saturday, February 24, 2018 in her 95th year with her beloved husband of 71 years, John, at her side. Much loved mother of Sharon, Barbara (Dave), and Janice. Predeceased by her brother Norman (Louisa), survived by her sister Kathleen (Bill). Treasured Nana of Michelle (Aaron), Catherine (Bill), Trevor (Stephanie), Stacey (Greg), Megan, Molly (Ryan), Nicolas, Ray, Leanne, Melissa, Brooke, and Carolyn. Dear great-grandmother of 12 and great-great grandmother of 1. Connie was a WWII veteran who served as a proud WREN (Women’s Royal Naval Service). It was during this time that she met the love of her life, John. Sadly, we began mourning Connie 3 years ago when she began to suffer dementia after a stroke and she was slowly taken from us. We will carry her memory in our hearts for ever. The family would like to extend their thanks to the compassionate staff at the Trillium Long Care Center. A celebration of life will be held at Edith Rankin Memorial United Church, 4080 Bath Road, Kingston, on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. led by our dear family friend, Reverend George Lavery.
