Obituary of Gail Louise Weir

Gail passed peacefully, at home, with her family on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the age of 57. She is now an eternal seasonal camper in the sky, sitting on the deck with her coffee and her Labrador. Adored wife of Richard Weir. Cherished mother of Sara Walsh, Benjamin & Lacey Penner and Mackenzie & Jared Weir. Treasured grandmother of Hope & Grace Davis and Rielly & Sydney Walsh. Dear sister of Jennifer Bergquist, Debbie Walker, Randy, Darlene and the late Terry. Gail is predeceased by her parents, Carl Kellar and Beverly Moore. Gail’s family wishes to thank Marg Milne and Lillian Lloyd of St. Elizabeth Health Care, you were there for us every minute and were simply amazing. Also, very special thanks to Pauline Flindall, for keeping Rick on track through the worst of times. You are a true friend. Gail owned her own hair salon in Napanee before working for the Ministry of Community and Social Services. She was very involved in the Union and was Local 432 President until her illness prevented further involvement. This potent negotiator saved many members jobs and prevented unfair practice in the workplace. Employer representatives did not enjoy sitting across the table from this woman! We have lost a truly incredible woman and she will be deeply missed. If you so desire, donations may be made to the Lung Association in honour of Gail. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to CATARAQUI CEMETERY AND FUNERAL SERVICES.
