Obituary of Roger O'Banion

O’Banion, Roger Lionel: (1943-2015) In his 72nd year on September 6th, 2015. passed away at KGH with his family by his side. Born in London, England, dear son of the late Leo and Joyce O’Banion of Niagara Falls, and loving husband of Elisabeth (Einarson) Pomeroy. Loved and admired father of Pat (Collette), Andy, Allyson, Jeff and step father to Victoria. A very special granddad to Matthew, Cillian, Declan, and Fiona. Roger enjoyed distinguished military and civilian careers. He was a Major with the Canadian Armed Forces (RCHA13), Marketing Manager with Bombardier, Manager with Honeywell Canada, and Head of Information Management and IT Security with the Government of Ontario (MOHLTC). As per Roger’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at the Cataraqui Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made in Roger’s memory to UHKF – Cancer Centre of South Eastern Ontario, Canadian Cancer Society, or the Ontario SPCA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cataraqui Cemetery and Funeral Services. Arrangements entrusted to CATARAQUI CEMETERY AND FUNERAL SERVICES.
