Obituary of John W. Cowan

Peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family, on March 12, 2017 at the age of 68, a day before his birthday. Beloved husband of 45 years to Denise (nee Manning). Loving father to Ben Cowan (Jenni), Trisha Tisdale (Jeremy), and Sarah Roberts (Jay). Cherished son of Kathleen Charleton (Morris) and the late David Cowan (Phyllis). Much loved and proud Papa to his grandchildren Easton and Sadie. Dear brother of Rick (Linda), Ralph (Gabriella) and the late Bernice Matheson (John). Brother-in-law of Christine Bryan (Bob) and the late Tim Manning (Barb). And fondly remembered by much extended family. John will always be remembered by his long-time friends, George White (Gioli), Jim Kyle (Joan) and bestman Pat O’Brien (Nancy). The family extends sincere gratitude to all John’s caregivers at both the KGH and Saint Elizabeth; especially the excellent care provided by Kim and Christine. In accordance with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. “We will see you on the lake Dad.” Arrangements entrusted to CATARAQUI CEMETERY AND FUNERAL SERVICES.
