Obituary of Deborah Anne Lloyd

Passed peacefully, Thursday, April 30th, 2015 in her 61st year. Loving wife of Steve Lloyd and devoted mother of Jeffrey (Amanda Watson), Andrew (Kristen Coulson) and Devon. Adoring grandma to Lucy and Jackson who brought her great joy during her struggle with cancer. Daughter of the late Walt and Marnie Wren, beloved sister of Denise, Douglas and David. Debbie recently retired from LDSB after a 40 year career as a Speech and Language Pathologist, where she touched the lives of thousands of children. She loved music and spent 29 years with the Handbell Choir of Edith Rankin Memorial United Church including 20 years as their director. Debbie was also an enthusiastic member of the Greater Kingston Chorus of Sweet Adelines for 19 years enjoying the harmony, glamor and camaraderie of her sisters in song. Together they competed annually in regional contests earning four trips to the Sweet Adelines international competition. A visitation will be held at the lower hall of Edith Rankin Memorial United Church on Friday, May 8th, 2015 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the church on Saturday, May 9th, 2015 at 2 p.m. A private service will take place at Cataraqui Cemetery on Monday, May 11th, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Edith Rankin Memorial United Church for the continuation of the Bell Ministry would be appreciated.
