Obituary of Walter James Holsgrove

Passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital on Sunday, September 13, 2015, just 4 days shy of his 80th birthday. Walter will be deeply missed by his beloved wife and best friend of 57 years, Isabel (nee Babcock). Cherished father of Laurie (Reg) Stevenson, Sherry (Al) Pitts and Walter J. Jr. (Jennifer) Holsgrove. Treasured Poppy of his grandchildren Reg Jr. (Melanie) Stevenson, Sarah (Tim) Garrah, Megan Pitts, Brittany and Camron Holsgrove as well as his great grandchildren Adam and Ryan Stevenson and Chloe Garrah. Brother of Carol (Ken) Tyers and Tom (Margaret) Holsgrove. Walter is now reunited with his parents, Walter J. and Mildred Holsgrove as well as his sister and her husband, Joan (Bud) Hogeboom. If you so desire, donations made to the Lung Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. In keeping with Walter’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to CATARAQUI CEMETERY AND FUNERAL SERVICES.
