Obituary of Börje Nils Persson

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 85 years at KGH. He is survived by Ulla, his best friend and wife of 60 years. He will be dearly missed by his sons, Per-åke (Susan) and Jan Olov and grandsons Philip, Erik and Jos. Börje’s only surviving relative in Sweden is Vicki Ohlsson his niece. Special thanks to dear family friend, Lena Funk for all her kindness and support. Börje and Ulla immigrated from Sweden in 1980 to start a new life adventure in Canada. It was Börje’s dream to go west and live the North American Dream. Börje and Ulla enjoyed spending time with their Canadian and Swedish friends. After a four year battle with cancer, he is now without pain and worry. Börje’s health failed very rapidly over the last week. At Börje’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service is planned. The family wishes to acknowledge the care and compassion provided by his care team at the Cancer Clinic. If desired, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in Börje’s memory. Arrangements entrusted to CATARAQUI CEMETERY AND FUNERAL SERVICES.
