Obituary of Robert Christiaan Bos

Robert Christiaan Bos (Bob), aged 69, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, in Napanee, Ontario, surrounded by his wife and family. Born on September 7, 1955, Bob was a loving family man known for his dependability, forgiving nature, and genuine humour. He lived a life marked by humility and fearlessness, always ready with a gentle word or a festive cheer, making him a beloved figure among his extensive family and friends.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Kimberly Lee Bos (Mac Donald), and their sons, Chris and Eric Bos. He was a proud father-in-law to Kirsten Miller and Megan Murphy and cherished grandfather to Ava, John, Tayzie, Jane, Gabby, and Jillian. His siblings Gerda, Elizabeth, John, Jack, Ken and Carol will fondly remember him. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Christian Bos and Elizabeth Hordijk.
Professionally, Robert dedicated over two decades to the Kingston DND, where he worked on the roads and grounds crew before retiring. His commitment to his work was as steadfast as his commitment to his family.
In his leisure, Robert was happiest at the cottage, surrounded by nature and the company of his family. His love for life itself was evident in the joy he took in these simple pleasures.
A celebration of Roberts life will be held on October 23rd from 12-4pm at the Millhaven Legion, where friends and family are invited to share memories and honour his legacy.
