My heart was saddened to hear of the passing of Yvonne. George and l met Yvonne and Peter in 1965 when they came to Canada from Guyana. They were part of our lives for so many years. I remember fondly the laughter we shared and the tears, travelling together and special times with family. She was constant in her religious beliefs and dedicated to her work within the church. I will cherish those memories and in this circle of life thank God our paths crossed.
May the family find strength in the days ahead.
Sincerely,
Lenore (Lenny)

Auntie Yvonne was among the kindest and most generous people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I fondly remember her thoughout my life, from a very young age. She was my beloved godmother. She (and Uncle Peter, who was my godfather) were always a constant source of light in my life. Although I did not get to see her as often as I would’ve loved over the past few years, she always had, and will have, a special place in my heart. My sincerest condolences to her family and loved ones. She was an incredibly wonderful individual who made the world a better place.
