Obituary of John Mitchell

John Mitchell, 81 years of age, of Kingston, ON , died 07 April 2024, at Kingston General Hospital. Surrounded by family and friends. 

He was born on 14 June 1942, to Agnes and William Mitchell, in Coatbridge, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1962.

He married Beverley Hood in June 1965 and they had one child Stacey.

He worked as a Police Officer with Metropolitan Toronto Police Force, where he attained the rank of Sergeant following 25 years of service with the force he retired.

John is survived by, Stacey Poste (Dave), grandchildren Tabitha (Matt) & Shaine (Brooke).

He was preceded in death by his spouse Beverley Mitchell.

As per John’s wishes no funeral service or celebration of life will be held.

A private Interment for family and close friend Shirley O’Sullivan will be held at Cataraqui Cemetery.
