Obituary of Paul Joseph Clancy

With deep sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Paul Joseph Clancy on March 6, 2024 (October 1, 1949), at Providence Care following a brief illness. Surrounded by the embrace of his loved ones in his final days, Paul now reunites with his parents, Clifford and Pearl Clancy, and brother Raymond in eternal rest.

Long time employee and part owner of Clancy Fuels (CF Petro Propane) Paul leaves behind his partner of 34 years, Sheila Marleau, and his sister, Carol White (the late Guy), and her children, Amy (Joshua Bullock) and Gillian (Ryan Boughton), his brother Wayne Clancy (Patricia) and their children, Krista (Steve Pixley) and Brian (Shannon), his sister Marilyn Bowie (Gordon) and their children Meghan (Simon Connolly) and Daniel, and sister-in-law Mary Clancy (the late Raymond) and her children, Stephanie Breen (Bernie) and Gregory Clancy (Shelley), along with numerous beloved great nieces and nephews.

Paul, a passionate traveler, history buff, and lover of Newfoundland, will be greatly missed. The family wishes to express profound gratitude to the Providence Care palliative Care team and others who cared for him during his illness. Their unwavering compassion and dedicated care provided solace and comfort to Paul.

In accordance with Paul's wishes, the family will hold a private celebration in his honour, and there will be no visitation.
