Obituary of William Edward Dixon
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ted Dixon after a brief stay at Kingston General Hospital at age 68. Thank you to the staff at KGH for their care and compassion.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Leslie Ann Dixon of Ottawa, his sisters Linda Kundrik (Darrell) of Kingston and Erin Roberts (Owen) of Deep River, grandchildren Lily, Madison and Lucas, niece and nephews, Leah, Tom and Jimmy and great niece and nephew, Riley and Eric.
He was predeceased by his parents, Phyllis (1998) and Maurice Dixon (2018) and brothers Keary (1959) and Thomas (1971)
Music was Ted's first passion, playing bass guitar and singing with several Kingston bands, including Percy and the Teardrops, Cirkus, The City Slickers, Stetson, Willie Dixon Band, and most recently, Sittin' Ducks. He was in his element when performing on stage. He leaves his heartbroken fellow band members, Ted Pelow, Chris Pelow, Don Pollard and former member Ron O'Hanley, along with dear friends, Dan Bullock, Tom Wright and Karen Peer who were by his side in his final hours with his fellow band members. A Celebration of Ted's life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560, 734 Montreal St. on Sunday, February 11 at 1:00 p.m.
For those desiring, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice in Ted's memory.
