Obituary of Marsha Lisk

Marsha Jean Lisk (nee Whitewood) passed away peacefully at KGH on December 28, 2023 in her 79^th wonderful year. Survived by her son Daniel, her sister in law Mary-Ann, sisters Linda and Margaret, brothers Harold and Sam, as well as a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband of 58 years Paul, sisters Ruby, Sebbie, Dearie, Bunny and Norma, and brothers Stanley, Allen and John. Marsha was born a coal miner’s daughter on February 2, 1945 in Stellarton, Nova Scotia. Marsha was one of thirteen children. At age 18, she moved to Trenton, Ontario where she met the love of her life Paul and enjoyed 58 years of happy marriage. Marsha was a wonderful wife and mother, and through the years wore many hats – florist, bartender, lab worker, retail sales, student, actor and union organizer. In 1976, she introduced her husband and son to playing golf, which became their lifelong joy, thanks mom! In retirement, Marsha enjoyed winter holidays in the sun, a good cup of tea, many vacations to both coasts to visit family, and loved going out for lunch with the girls. Thanks mom for being the best mother ever.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre would be appreciated by the family.
