Obituary of Constance Anne Groat

Connie died peacefully at Fairmont Home in Glenburnie on Friday July 28th, 2023, aged 90 years. She will be missed by her loving husband of 68 years Tom Groat and her family. She is survived by her son Lee Groat and daughter Stacey Turkeli, her grandchildren Cole Carleton and Tiegan Orser, and her great grandchildren Dallas and Colt Orser. Connie was born and grew up in Niagara Falls. She attended Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts and married Tom. They subsequently moved to Kingston where they resided for 62 years. Connie will be laid to rest at Cataraqui Cemetery in Kingston. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Fairmount Home for their compassion and professionalism. In lieu of flowers and because of Connie's love of dogs, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society.
