To Allan, Karen, John and Mark. So sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing. She was always very kind and supportive of me and my siblings when we were young, and a great support and friend for my Mom. May God bless her.

Allan, Karen, Mark & John & families, our sincere condolences on the passing of your mother, which we just learned about today. Edna was a loving caring woman and a dear friend to John's mother, Marian, for many years both at First Baptist Church and at 66 Van Order and later Helen Henderson Home. She was also friends with all of the Noble family for many years from the time she arrived in Kingston. One could not ask for a better friend. She used to phone John to keep him up to date on things in Kingston.
She had a long and meaningful life and will be missed by so many people.
Fondly,
John and Linda Noble

Remembering the most beautiful gentle loving soul who has been our dear mother Evelyn Smith’s closest and dearest friend for more than fifty years, and a true and faithful friend to our whole family, attending all four of our Smith girl weddings, cohosting a wedding reception with her dear husband Allan for our oldest brother Philip when he brought his bride Homa to Canada from Africa to meet us, and also co-catering our wedding with Allan almost 45 years ago. She and Mom went on many special adventures together, especially after both losing their life partners, and even travelled across the country to visit our family on the west coast, as well as a whale watching tour, trip to see the gorgeous fall colours, and ladies’ road trip to visit their beloved sisters in Wiarton and Walkerton respectively. They were both so proud and often remarked on the fact that they were neighbours for more than 30 years with no fence ever needed between their adjoining yards, only flowers. The photo...graphs shared here are a tribute to the beautiful lifelong friendship they shared. We all love you so very much Edna, and you will be greatly missed. There is great comfort in knowing that you are with your dear husband Allan, son Peter, and infant angel daughters now, and that you are watching over us all until we meet again.

So sorry to hear of Edna's passing. She was a great participating member of our book club for many years and we always enjoyed her insights into the books we read. I loved her attitude to life and her strong faith.

Allan, Karen, Mark & John & families. My deepest sympathies to you and your families on the loss of a wonder LADY. And to me Aunt Edna was definitely a lady. I am so glad that we got to see her a month ago, for one last visit. I have had lots of phone calls with Aunt Edna, especially over the last few years. I would call her from Dad/s room, just so he could hear her voice. Edna & I did most of the talking. He speaks of her so fondly, as a sister to him. He kidded, that he doesn't know if he can outlive her years, or not. It was her goal for 95, and she made it. Treasure all her memories. Love Janice

Allan, Karen, John and Mark … my heart is with you. Although your mom lived until 95, it does still seem like she was taken from us far too soon. Your mom was a “supermom” in the way that she loved and cared for you and you were “superchildren” in the same way you loved and cared for her.
Helen, Rosemary and Patty how blessed you are to have had such a wonderful mother-in-law. Your support, love and care for the Edna was a wonderful gift to not only Edna, but to your husbands and your children as well. From my heart, thank you. My condolences to you as you work through your own grief and continue to be a support for your family.
Allan, Adam, Andrew , Amanda, Elizabeth, Scott, Ross, Kathryn, Paul, and Nicole, I am so sorry for your loss. As you take time to grieve, remember and share your individual personal stories. May the love and laughter carry you forward.
Cheryl, Lori , Sarah, Sean, Melissa and Brent as partners of Edna’s grandchildren you would have had your own encounters as well. My sympathies to you also. May you be blessed as you listen to some of the family stories and share some of your own.
Emma, Joey, Ryan, William, Marcus, Lucas, MacKenzie, Jacob and Reid and to all Edna’s future
great-grandchildren may you be blessed with her love that has embraced you and life lessons that will be passed down through your parents, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, cousins and great aunts and uncles and cousins.
As we all recall the Life of Edna May Day, may will all be filled with peace and love that passes all understanding.

Our sincerest condolences to friends and family of Auntie Edna.
Distance meant we only saw each other a few times in person but we communicated often by snail mail and phone calls, spending the time catching up with each other's lives and that of the family's - on both sides. She was very proud of her family and talked highly of her grandchildren.
We wish family and friends happy memories and send virtual hugs.

My sincere condolences to Aunt Edna's Family. I met her in Kingston in the summer of 2016 when Sandra Barnes kindly invited me to have lunch with her. She was a lovely person. I did enjoy her company and I admire her sense of independence. Rest in Peace dear Aunt Edna.
