Dear Wilma and family,
Yes, I met you and Cam in Inuvik in mid to late 70s when I was there at the military station.
And perhaps in mid 80s in Kingston near Chez Piggy.
My sincere condolences to you and your family.
Cam was very special.

Cam and Wilma "took me in" when I was having relationship difficulties. That's the kind of person he was, kind, compassionate, welcoming, very down to earth yet knowledgeable and smart. He had a great smile and laugh, and always a good story to tell, like one I just heard about a motorcycle trip to the U.S. when he thought he lost his VISA card on his first day away, phoned Wilma who dutifully cancelled it, and then discovered it exactly where it was supposed to be. But now of course it was cancelled. Their beautiful home is full of wonderful memories.

Cam, such a soft spoken, gentle man, whose quick, dry wit could be detected first, by a twinkle in his eyes and then in the next moment, by a chuckle, inviting you in on the joke. You'll be missed by many. So sorry for your loss Wilma, Peter and Tammy.

Cam was such a kind, gentle man. He was encouraging to me as a boy. I remember talking with him about various ranks in the military while Peter and I were imagining our own wooden gun army. We spoke a few times - not enough times - about ukulele. The Kenny home is one of my favourite places in Sydenham. I'm so sad I cannot be there to celebrate his life on the 11th, as I'm in Saskatoon that week. Much love to you, Wilma, and my old friend, Peter. I'm so sorry for your loss. <3 <3 <3
