However, I know that she'll be tickled to know that I haven't lost an ounce of 'chunkiness' even after all those years since I came back from a summer in Greece back when we were in grade nine! My sympathy to the Einarson clan. I was saddened to learn of Eleanor‘s death. She was an amazing and special lady. What wonderful times we shared in the early years. So many babies and so many happy times as we shared our family knowledge and learned from one another. We worked hard and played hard but we made lasting friends and had such fun times. I have such happy memories of working with Eleanor when we were both at the Brock Street Gallery. We rarely saw each other as we worked on different days, but we communicated via notes in the Journal on the desk, relating amusing stories or adding to the To Do list. A wonderful, kind, generous and steadfast friend. Condolences to all the family from Douglas and me.. Blu Mackintosh

Both Eleanor and Dawson Einarson were huge influences on me as a teenager. While babysitting the girls for a summer when they moved to Kingston, they encouraged me to pursue my nursing career by getting a degree at Queens rather than just attending a nursing school. They truly adopted me into their family, guiding me to aspire to broader goals at a time when I didn't listen to my own parents as well as I should have. Creative, kind, ethical, organized, calm: these are some of the things I remember about Eleanor; so I appreciated these attributes and tried to follow her example. I also remember teasing her that her coffee was always only half drunk and cold -she had a busy life! My condolences go out to the family.

Sending love and prayers to all, at the passing of your lovely Mom and Grandmother. I have so many fond memories of happy times spent at your family’s home and cottage as a guest of Elisabeth. Mrs Einarson was always such a warm and gracious hostess, baking us cookies and bread, and exhibiting endless patience as we played piano and ran up and down the stairs. Wonderful childhood memories! My deepest condolences.
