Dear Barbara and family,
Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you on the death of your father. Barney knew me since I was a baby where we were neighbors in Camp Shilo! We had a long and close friendship. He visited us often when I was growing up and he and Rose welcomed us on many visits to their home. He gave the "toast to the bride" at our wedding in Salmon Arm, B.C. in 1981! In 2000, I took Jeffrey & Kevin to Kingston to visit and he drove us to Ottawa so the boys could see our nation's capital. He was a great tour guide. I visited Barney and Nancy in Florida in 2008 and was given the royal treatment. They drove to Burlington to be with us when my mom died in 2011. Barney was a true friend I could always count on and I will miss him dearly. May God grant him eternal rest.

Barney’s son John was a dear friend. And I wish to send my sincere wishes to all of Barney’s family at this time of their loss. As I remember my encounters with Barney, I am smiling. His sharp wit sometimes hid his deep caring. After John’s passing, Barney and I shared our grief in telephone calls and helped each other to accept what we had to accept, our great loss. Fond memories. Thinking of all who cared deeply for Barney.
