Obituary of Judith Maralyn Drope

 

 It is with profound sadness that the family of Judy Drope announce her sudden passing on September 4, 2022 in her 78^th year. Judy spent her final hours doing what she loved the most, visiting with friends and family at her Buck Bay cottage.  

 

Judy’s generosity, zest for life and sense of humour have endeared her to many. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John Drope and her children, Michele Morin (Gord Hobbs), Jamie Drope (Maria) and Jody Bonsall (Adam). Judy’s greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren Megan Coutts (Dayton), Matthew Morin (Courtney), Benjamin Drope (Lindsay), Riley Drope (Mackenzie) and Sierra Bonsall whom she loved a bushel and a peck. Her great grandchildren Grayson, Lyla, Easton, Nash, RaeLynn and Madilyn adored their GG. Judy is fondly remembered by her older siblings, Audrey Martin and Ron Twigg (Jessie) and sister in-laws Joanne Benson and Judy Madden.   

 

As wife, mother, retired educator, library employee and community member, Judy’s consideration of the needs of others, especially those less fortunate, remained her primary concern. She would be humbled at the overwhelming love and support extended to her family at this time. As per Judy’s wishes, a private family service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s honour can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice.
