Dear Audrey, I have just found out today about Colin's passing 6 months ago, so I am very sorry for my late message, and I hope it reaches you. I am truly sad for your loss. Colin was a very special person. As a Dean and as a negotiator, he made a most positive and long- lasting impact at Bishop's for generations of professors. Very early in my career, he taught me strength of character and determination. It was his encouragement and his mentorship that pushed me into getting my Ph.D. and for this, I will always be grateful to him. The hospitality and generosity you both showed Andrew and me so many years ago (precisely 30) back in Scotland will always be a fond memory for us. We both send you our most sincere condolences, and wish you health and happiness with your children and family.

Dear Audrey and Liz,
I just learned of Colin's passing and I send my condolences on your loss. Though I never took any Chemistry classes at Bishop's I became friends with Colin at Milby Golf Club, where I worked for a few summers as a bartender.
Colin loved his sports, especially golf, and we had some great discussions on the 19th hole following his rounds. This news is indeed sad but Colin was blessed with a wonderful family and a great career at Bishop's. Who could ask for more? R.I.P. my friend.

Dear family members and especially Audrey, my memories of Colin are wrapped up in my memories of my brother atBishops. Hewson counted Colin as among his greatest friends and he was grateful for his help throughout his life. Everyone Colin knew will have similar memories of a caring and highly intelligent friend.

Am so sorry to hear of Colin’s passing. He was one of the most forthright men of strong character whose legacy at Bishop’s University as a leader, teacher, colleague and neighbour will always be remembered and appreciated by those of us who knew him. My late husband Gerald Tucker always enjoyed debating with him, whether at Senate meetings or in the Common Room. Am glad that he enjoyed his long retirement with Audrey. Condolences to all. Mieke
