I had the pleasure of working at the Waterford in the dining room and getting to see Trev & Betty on a regular basis.. To see the way he cared for her was very inspiring, and I loved bringing him coffee and listening to his stories. He lived a very full life ! So sorry for your loss

Sorry to not be there to help celebrate Trev's life. He and Betty were wonderful friends to Harvey and Donna and I will always remember life around the cottage on White Lake. I'm sure Nina will never forget his gruff accusations of "You been stealin' my wood?' (Guess you had to be there.) All the best to the Treleaven family Love, Reid

Allison, Karl and Treleaven family: Living in Nova Scotia offered us few opportunities to know Trev well, but we always enjoyed spending time with him and Betty on those rare occasions. He was a man of broad interests, firm opinions and great care for others and for his country and community. As his well written obituary outlines, he was a leader and will be long remembered. His love for family was paramount, and the love, care and commitment he showered on Betty in recent years is a testament to both of them. We recall our first visit to their home, how lovely and warm it was, and...on a golf course too! We had never conceived of such a thing and were impressed. Much later, we followed their example. Rest in peace Trev and may these days be full of memories and laughter amid the loss of such a man. Steve & Shirley Parker, Halifax, NS.

I worked with Dr. Treleaven for many years during his involvement with the Ontario Dental Association where I was employed. My friend, the late Mrs. Aileen Durham, another ODA employee, and I visited with Dr. and Mrs. Treleaven several times. These weekends were really enjoyable as Betty and Trev were always so very hospitable - making sure we saw all the sights of Kingston and the surrounding areas. Over the years Trev would call me for help with his dental reunions and we always took some time to catch up. We had some great conversations - particularly when we got onto the subject of politics - dental and Canadian. We didn't always agree but these exchanges were always enthusiastic and a lot of fun. My sincere condolences to Mrs. Treleaven and the Treleaven family - Trev will be greatly missed by all who knew him - but by you most particularly.

I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Trev's passing. Having just read the obituary I learned many things that I was not aware of. It seems that Trev lived a very full, active and interesting life. I fondly remember many a trip to the cottage in the back of the station wagon with Trev driving and he would hit the hills and dips in the road just right to make all the kids in the back a little woozy. There were a lot of fun times with the Treleaven family at the lake. My thoughts are with you all and especially Aunt Betty. Take good care of yourselves. Reg Goslett

To the family of Dr. Treleaven: I saw the obituary in the Kingston Whig, and wanted to send condolences on behalf of my parents, now deceased: Betty and Jim Provan. We lived across from your parents on Churchill Crescent from the mid-50’s until 1962. Mom and Dad were close friends with your parents and enjoyed their company immensely. We moved to Toronto, then to Montreal . My parents often reminisced about the good times shared with yours. When they returned to Kingston upon retirement, Mom and Dad reconnected with your parents. I believe Dad kept in contact with your father after Mom died in 1996. I know if my parents were still alive, they would share their fond memories with you, so I am sending this e-mail on their behalf. May you cherish all the happy memories of your father, grandfather and great-grandfather. PS. I taught Kyle at J.E. Horton in’95-’96; a great kid then and a great adult now, I’m sure!

My condolences to your family for the loss of Dr Treleaven. I got to know him many years ago when I worked with the March of Dimes and he was on the board. He was a most kind and civil gentleman and I enjoyed his company very much. May he rest in peace.

What an amazing life Dr.Treleaven had! All I knew was his sense of humour. There was one day when he and Mrs Treleaven sat at my kitchen table and I offered them a piece of apple pie. He turned to her and said "can I have a piece"? She must have been watching his cholesterol but allowed his some anyway. Very sorry for your loss.
