Obituary of Donald Gateley

Don passed away peacefully at home on January 29th, 2021 in his 78th year.Don is survived by his wife Rae and their beloved pets CB and Mac. He will be missed by his stepchildren Nikki, Curt (Cathy), Scott (Nancy) and Randy (Linda), his sons Paul (Sherri) and Scott (Lori). He will also be missed by a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Don originally hails from Richmond Hill, growing up in Bell Fountain, graduating from Erin District High School. Don moved to the Kingston area in 1975. He had a 31 year career with Northern Telecom, retiring in 1994 as a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Don was an avid reader who loved golf, his flight Sims and anything vintage - whether it was music, movies, airplanes or his favourite Corvettes.A Celebration of Life will be planned for when we can all safely gather again.Donations to VON Greater Kingston - Meals on Wheels in lieu of flowers would be appreciated by the family.
