Obituary of Ian Reid Milne

Passed away surrounded by the love of his family at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KGH) on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the age of 90. Loving father of Sarah Loricchio (Vince). Proud grandpa of Ryan and step-grandpa of Peter and David. He is survived by his brother, Ronald. Predeceased by his sister, Sheila. He will be missed by his friend, Sheila Connop, the community of neighbours in Portsmouth Village and his past wife, Margaret Wild. Ian was the Founder of Kingston First Capital Day Celebration, he loved local history and was an advocate to keep history alive. He was the author of “The Melt” and was an adventurer who sailed from Kingston to the Bahamas to re-enact the landing of Columbus. There will be a private family service at Cataraqui Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Canada – Kingston Chapter or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
