Obituary of Kevin Arthur Dickey

Unexpectedly but peacefully, at his home in Kingston, Ontario on Monday morning, Kevin left his family and friends to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his grandparents Ruby and Arthur Bartlett, Vera and Wilfred Dickey and some special friends in heaven. He is forever loved by his parents, Shirley “Tooty” Dickey (nee Bartlett) and Ron Dickey, his brother, Paul Dickey, his aunts, uncles and cousins: Kay Dickey Bartlett and Art Bartlett (Terry Bartlett and Shari Ross); Brenda and Ken Bartlett (Matthew and Jeremy Bartlett and Amy Morton); Ann Bartlett and the late Don (Rick, Steve and Heather Bartlett); Betty Harrison and the late Mike (Tim and Dan Harrison and Melody Currier); Lil and Charlie Dickey (Carla Benish and Laura Derry). Kevin loved to spend time with these people, their spouses and their children and with his many special friends. After his career as a player ended Kevin became a CPGA teaching professional, teaching at Garrison, Amherstview and Cataraqui Golf Courses. He developed the Kevin Dickey Junior Golf Initiative and had many of his students awarded University Golf Scholarships. A celebration of Kevin’s life will take place at CATARAQUI GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB, 961 King St. W. on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, with an opportunity for people to share memories at 2:30pm. In Kevin’s memory, a fund will be set up by Cataraqui Golf and Country Club to ensure the continuation of Kevin’s passion to develop junior golfers to be successful in golf and in life.
